About the Job:

We are looking to recruit an experienced Egyptian National Legal Manager to work within the Cairo Festival City Team. This role demands the skills and experience of a fully fledged Legal Counsel who understands the intricacies of all areas of real estate with knowledge in construction law. Other primary responsibilities will include:

- Providing advice on legal issues arising out of building and engineering projects including claims and disputes with contractors and related parties

- Providing advice on employment contracts, contractor agreements and marketing agreements

- Providing advice on all aspects of commercial, retail, and residential leasing and sales

- Providing advice on all aspects of real estate development including building, design, and engineering contracts


The Legal Manager will act as internal legal counsel at Al Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) and also deal directly with related companies of the Al Futtaim Group (AFG). The candidate will be required to have a strong background in real estate related matters, having extensively advised upon, negotiated, drafted and reviewed property and construction related documentation. As the Legal Manager will also be required to provide advice on a wide variety of commercial matters (not necessarily confined to real estate and construction), he/she will also possess broad based legal skills and experience.

Skills:
You must be an Egyptian National to be considered for this role. We are looking for an intelligent person with strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to quickly master the full scope of this complex role. You must have a lot of drive and initiative. You must be degree qualified in a relevant discipline. You will need an excellent command of spoken and written English language with ideally, eight to ten years experience preferably in the real estate industry. A thorough knowledge of the Egyptian law is necessary.
