Regional Information Security Specialist, APMEA For Nielsen Egypt

The Regional Security Specialist’s primary function is the protection of information for the businesses and clients within their assigned region as well as the prevention, investigation and resolution of security breaches. Secondary tasks may include:

- Participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies and control standards.

- Drive the security goals as established by stated policies, procedures and guidelines.

- Performing vulnerability assessments and other risk analysis as required.

- Conduct risk analysis designed to protect personnel, property and data resources.

- Engage with clients and Nielsen client service executives in remediating potential security issues and advising clients as to the benefits associated with Nielsen Security policies.

- Provide subject matter expertise in support of emergency events occurring with the assigned region.

- Review business continuity plan test results to ensure the protection of the people, property and data resources within the assigned region.

Skills

- 5+ years of direct experience in an Information Security or special events security planning role

- Well versed in the regulatory and legal requirements pertaining to Information Security as well as people and property protection within Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

- Experience in handling highly confidential investigations and information.

- In-depth understanding of technical security control design and implementation in an enterprise and/or ecommerce environment.

- Direct experience and proficiency with forensic toolsets for technical investigations

- Solid knowledge of network security concepts including network design principles and security mitigation controls.

- Basic understanding of system development life cycle methodology.

- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning procedures and toolsets.

- Understanding of encryption technologies including virtual private networks, IPSec protocol suite, and PKI systems.
