CityScout is a new and free Windows Phone 7 application that allows citizens to view real-time information about their daily driving routes. Using a Facebook or Live ID login users can view traffic updates and submit incident reports, on road accidents, medical emergencies, broken cars or similar, by pointing, capturing and publishing. Courtesy of Microsoft Bing Maps, the application provides a detailed map with indicative colors and icons showing the status of different roads. Users can find out more about incidents by clicking on them and loading further details, including pictures.

CityScout also allows users to share their incident reports on social networks added to the application. Other distinctive features include alerts about current traffic jams/incidents and registering different locations on the map to calculate distance. Launched by ITWorx, CityScout is available on the Windows Market Place and can be downloaded for free.
