Job Description :
Sell at least five new strategic business accounts in the first full year with medium to large sized organizations that each contract with the company for at least $50,000 per year in work.
Independently meet with at least 10 or more mid to senior-level learning, HR, leadership development and business executives each month to generate product, program, and consulting sales opportunities.
Build opportunity pipeline of at least $500,000 in the first six months and $1 million in the first year.
Propose more than $100,000 of new work each month after a two month onboarding ramp-up.
Demonstrate sophisticated skills in strategic sales dialogue with customers and prospects to assess needs, recommend solutions and close sales. These conversations will leverage multiple internal lead sources to optimize revenue growth, including:
Existing customers (individuals, managers and businesses).
Web site leads (white paper and similar downloads).
National accounts (associations, company endorsements)
E-Mail campaigns and leads from purchased databases.
Trade show leads.
Acquired, targeted lists.
Propose diagnostics and other assessments of client needs to determine root causes of their inability to achieve desired business outcomes. Prescribe, design and implement strategic interventions using the full range of the company's solutions.
Consult and present professionally and in alignment with the company's principles.
Invite key decision makers within medium to large sized organizations to marketing events and other value-add opportunities.
Write and project manage effective business proposals and projects.
Close business consistently within the company's guidelines developed for product and services mix and pricing.
Consult with custom solutions development team to offer clients appropriate tailored solutions.
This position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate sales, preferably in a training, e-learning or similar professional services environment selling to Learning & Development, HR, Training, Leadership Development and executives of Fortune 5,000 companies. A stable work history and successful track record of sales performance is essential. Requires a consultative sales background with demonstrated skills in the areas of lead generation, forecasting, prospecting and driving opportunities to closure. A BA/BS in business or related field is required. A well-developed pattern of achievement, competitive skills, energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity is critical to success in this role. Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential; must be able to create and deliver compelling, polished sales presentations to both line leadership and senior corporate executives within target companies.
