Egypt, Switzerland mull ways to increase numbers of visiting tourists

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Eisa has discussed with Switzerland’s Ambassador in Cairo Yvonne Baumann means to cement tourism cooperation between Egypt and Switzerland.

During their meeting, they also probed mechanisms to promote and increase the numbers of Swiss tourists visiting Egypt.

They discussed means to boost cooperation between tourism bodies and travel agencies of both countries to make more promotion for Egyptian tourist destinations.

The meeting touched upon activities and events that would be organized by the Swiss embassy in Egypt between June 2024 and March 2025 to mark the 90th anniversary on the establishment of Egyptian-Swiss relations.

Both sides also discussed mechanism on encouraging hotel investments under the national strategy of tourism.
