The total Central Bank of Egypt's deposits reached LE957 billion by the end of June.
The volume of the capital of the 39 banks dealing with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) reached LE59 billion by the end of 2011, the bank said in its annual report on 25/1/2012.
The report, a copy of which was obtained by MENA, said the total banks' deposits reached LE957 billion by the end of June while investments in securities and treasury bills worth to LE474.2.
The report said the domestic public debt reached around LE1.04 trillion by the end of June 2011, which means 76.6 percent of Gross Domestic Product.
Egypt's foreign debts increased by $1.2 billion compared to the previous fiscal year, totaling $34.9 billion the report said.
