Egypreneur spreads another ray of hope in the "Future of Egypt"

Focusing on the obstacles & advantages of entrepreneurship in Egypt, Egypreneur organized the “Future of Egypt”-event, sharing optimism & positivity.
Egypreneur held the “Future of Egypt”-conference yesterday, which included a panel discussion of experts in the field and the launch of four new products in the Egyptian startup world.

Spreading a glimpse of hope and inspiration among the attendees, the “Future of Egypt” gave a positive outlook on what is to come in the coming five to seven years.

The conference was a chance for four entrepreneurs to launch their latest products. Ahmed Wasfie presented the new version of BackPack V2, a mobile application providing all the information you need about the big city, while Mahmoud Sabae explained the concept of the uCrowd.net.

UCrowd is a place for exclusive services and discounts, financial possibilities, e-wallet services, trip packages and NGO contributions.

Mostafa Nageeb talked about his website “Ekshef”, which helps building a connection between doctors and patients and provides the option of making doctor appointments online. Last but not least, Kirolos Alfy launched the new version of mobile application “No5rog”, which helps people in finding a suitable place for their outings.

Moderated by Mr. Mohamed ElSawy – Founder of Sawy Culture Wheel –, the panel discussion included three entrepreneurs and three experts from various fields within the startup-sector.

All panelists were very fond and excited about what the Egyptian youth has achieved till now – be it on the streets or in their offices and on their computers.

Founder and CEO of Al-Zwad for Economic Development and Masrena Mr. Ziad Aly, Chairman of Guardian Capital and former Vice-Chairman of the Egyptian Capital Market Authority Dr. Alaa Amer, and Executive Director of Entrepreneurs Business Forum Mr. Yousry ElGhitany joined the panel, side by side with three entrepreneurs: Founder of Mashaweer Mohamed Wahid, Founder of Ability Call Center Amr Deabes, and Founder and CEO of Core Republic Shady Sherif.

The main advice these panelists gave to the young entrepreneurs in the audience was to keep their hands from partnerships when starting their business, and instead focus on shareholders.

“Yes, at the beginning it is nice to have your friend as a partner, but on the long run, it will only cause trouble and eventually bring down the company you are trying to build,” Sherif said.

Dr. Alaa Amer pointed out that the main factors that could bring Egypt forward economically are the startups that the young people of this country are bringing to life today.

Opening the floor to questions from the audience made it clear that Egypt has some of the brightest youth on this earth and that such events are a essential to achieve growth and economic prosperity at times like these. Entrepreneurs are the future of Egypt.
