Reporting directly to the Manager Director, the R&D Manager will be involved in the following:

Developing Technological & Scientific knowledge to provide products in line with consumer's expectations and regulatory constraints.

Fueling R&D plan with permanent new opportunities on ingredients, science and technologies coming from outside and by creating partnerships of great added value in the development of differentiating products.

As a Codi (Board) member (his/her) role is to define the strategy of Innovation to meet the Growth and profitability objectives of the business.

Develop and implement the best practices / methods to identify and select the projects of High strategic and financial stakes for the company.

Manage the R&D projects portfolio from the generation of ideas to the launch of Breakthrough innovations on the market by developing the required Technology and Science.

Getting sure that any new route is aligned with group's strategy and increase its credibility in the fields of nutrition and health.

Building networks of experts in the fields that are explored.

Updating monthly the deliveries plan with global risk analysis.

Managing a team of project managers and ensuring that efficient project management is well applied.

Ensuring a close link between the local R&D and central.

Leading, motivating, training R&D staff to meet and exceed goals and objectives.

Manage the design and execution of consumer and technical tests to develop research concepts.

Identify problems (trouble shooting) and implement solutions to technical issues.

Develop and qualify new products, materials, packages and processes.

Manage the process qualification, validation and technology transfer to the plant.

Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have an agronomical engineering diploma or relevant degree. He/she will also possess at least 3 years of experience within a similar function with a focus on consumer goods. He/she will have an excellent strategic mindset & vision . A previous experience in Egypt is desirable. Fluency in English and Arabic is required French is a plus.
